Your Obligations
You are required by law to keep full and accurate records relating to your tax affairs. It is your obligation to provide us with all information that could reasonably be expected to be necessary for us to perform the work contemplated under this engagement, either in a timely manner or upon request. This includes providing accurate and complete responses to any questions we may ask. Failure to provide accurate, complete, or timely information may have a material impact on the services we provide and the conclusions we reach.
You are responsible for full disclosure of all relevant information. You are responsible for your own record keeping relating to your affairs.
You are responsible for the reliability, accuracy and completeness of the particulars and information provided to us, and, if the scope of engagement includes financial reporting, the accounting records and disclosures of all material and relevant information provided to us.
You must retain paperwork for a period of five years (5 years) after the assessment as you may be subject to an Australian Taxation Office review.
You are responsible for checking the assessment before submission to ensure accuracy.
You must sign either electronically or in person all income tax returns, FBT, trust & company returns, financial statements, Business Activity Statements, Instalment Activity Statements, ASIC Annual Company statements, STP Authorities in a timely manner as per legal requirements.
